July Miscellany

Abigail ponders her next move on the iPad.

The boys first crack at cake decorating.  This is a green ninja having a lightsaber duel with Elsa.

Sam and Jonathan with our neighbour's grandson James in the middle.  James and his family were visiting for about a month this summer, and the three boys had a great time tearing around the two yards, inventing games and creating scenes.

A beautiful cloudy day at the beach.  Raining over the mountains on the north shore.

This is the first year I tried planting dahlias.  The flowers are looking good, but the leaves don't look entirely healthy.

Of the playing of games, there will be no end.

Evelyn was Chris' partner on this particular go-round.  She was...enthusiastic.

MasterMind is a current favourite of Evelyn's.  She likes to make the code more than guess the code.

When Chris was out with the kids one day, they found this bike on the side of the road.  How lucky for us, as it is just the right size for Jonathan!

He was getting a little too big for his old bike, but Sam is still the right size for his, so there was nothing available to hand-down to Jonathan.  Now Jonathan is all set, and very happy with the new bike, even if it does have a little pink on it.

(Actually, Chris and I have not said a word about the pink, and Jonathan hasn't either, so we're just going to roll with it!)
